Historic fittings — and the story behind Borello.
House of Fittings
Borello is the webshop carried on in the spirit of Frk. Aamann — the same owner, the same eye for detail. Frk. Aamann was founded in 2000 as a flower and decoration shop on Brogade in Køge, and for more than 20 years it was a local fixture for customers who wanted more than just a bouquet: style, atmosphere and the small details that complete the expression.
That very eye for detail became the springboard to Borello – House of Fittings. Old furniture lives by its fittings — handles, knobs, escutcheons and hinges — and far too often they are missing or have been replaced over the years. That is why we carry historic fittings, made from original, antique forms, so that an old piece of furniture can appear as it once did, and new pieces can be given a period-typical character.
Today Borello runs as a webshop from Ringsted, Zealand, delivering to the whole of Europe. The company is led by Sheila Aamann Borello — and the philosophy is the same as in the shop back then: proper craftsmanship, honest quality and respect for the detail.
